Who We Are

Ashley Gorge Guides is a locally owned guide service dedicated to one place: the Ashley Gorge Via Ferrata, just north of Vernal, Utah. We take first-timers, families and experienced climbers up the gorge safely, with the instruction and support that make the day memorable.

Owner and lead guide Daniel Wong grew up in Orem, Utah, climbing, mountain biking and canyoneering. After years of climbing in Rock Canyon and doing via ferratas in Europe, he started Ashley Gorge Guides so more people can experience Utah’s own via ferrata with a guide by their side.
